The
Kansas Preservation Alliance, Inc.
presents an annual Awards for Excellence for Preservation Advocacy to
individuals, organizations,
or institutions for significant contributions to the
preservation and revitalization of Kansas’s historic resources.
The Preservation Advocacy awards are intended to honor
outstanding individuals or groups for their initiative and
commitment to the advancement of historic preservation in Kansas
through events or actions that have taken place recently or may
have taken place over an extended time period.
Outstanding Actions of Historic Preservation
Advocacy may be as follows:

Commitment to Historic Preservation in Kansas
through preservation initiatives.

Demonstrate the advancement of Historic
Preservation in Education.
-
Implementation of Historic Preservation
governmental policies on local and/or state level.
-
Implementation of historic districts,
preservation and/or conservation easement program.
-
Leader of a grassroots preservation effort
through network, media, and/or publications.
The deadline for submitting nominations is
January 31,
2008.
