NOMINATION FORM

The
Kansas Preservation Alliance, Inc. presents annual
Awards for
Excellence for Historic
Preservation Projects to honor individuals/groups involved
in the design and construction of buildings and sites as
significant contributions to Kansas’s historic resources in
2007. Nominated projects must meet the intent of The Secretary
of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation and the criteria for
listing properties on the National Register of Historic Places.

The
Historic Preservation Project Categories are:

Preservation:
Sustain the existing form, integrity, and materials of an
historic property.

Rehabilitation:
Repair, alternations, and additions while preserving
portions and features.

Restoration:
Removal of non period features and reconstruct missing
features.

Reconstruction:
New construction of features to replicate a specific period.
The deadline for nominations is January 31, 2008.

Criteria for Awards |

|
When you try to download the
Project Nomination Form for 2008, |
|
a new window will open up and you
will have three options (Open, Save or Cancel). |
|
|
|
If you choose Open, the nomination
form will be loaded in and ready to be fill-in. |
|
You can now type in your
information and then either print or save form to your computer. |
|
|
|
If you choose Save, you will save
the form to your computer to be used later. |
|
|
|
The third
options is just to cancel the download. |
